The hotel’s famed afternoon tea has been given the royal cacao treatment, with the Easter Chocolate Afternoon Tea featuring sweet and savoury chocolate items. This Easter foodie experience is a three-tiered cake stand of chocolate treats including an exciting array of items such as: chocolate gravlax, chocolate chicken bonbons, chocolate candy floss and peanut butter chocolate swirl to name but a few. These will be served alongside chocolate scones and petite savoury sandwiches with guests also offered an espresso coffee or their choice of exotic tea. All this for NZ$35 per person. Not to be outdone by the afternoon tea, the hotel’s SBF Brasserie is offering Easter Sunday brunch and dinner complete with an extensive chocolate dessert buffet and full complement of chefs working on a live cooking station creating chocolate gourmet sensations. The buffet boasts over 30 different items with its dessert menu alone including: crepes, dark milk and white chocolate ganache, hand rolled chocolate truffles, chocolate afghan cookies, chocolate peanut butter swirl, moist chocolate mud cake, white chocolate brownie, chocolate crème brulee, chocolate fudge, chocolate banana cake, chocolate éclairs, chocolate walnut tuile, raspberry chocolate mousse and finally chocolate cappuccino cheesecake… phew! And once again, this is only naming but some of the selection. The Easter Sunday buffet brunch is NZ$45 per person and the dinner is NZ$69 per person. Reservations are required.
